What internet browser popups will ZapPop "kill"?
Because we wanted ZapPop to be a superior product and not just adequate across different platforms, ZapPop was engineered specifically for Windows Internet Explorer.
How do I know ZapPop is working?
When ZapPop is on you will see it in the lower right hand tray of your computer. With the sound on, each time ZapPop "kills" a pop-up that wants to intrude into your internet experience, you will hear a "zap" sound. "How Sweet It Is"

You can also test to see if ZapPop is working by going to
ZapPop Test
Why am I still getting pop-ups when ZapPop is turned on?
The first thing to verify is that ZapPop is, indeed, turned on. When it is on there will be a small red circle in the lower right corner of the computer monitor. To have ZapPop on all the time, right click the small red circle and left click "Preferences" - then check "Start With Windows" so it starts each time you boot the computer.

Also, if you are not surfing with Internet Explorer 6 - we recommend that. You can get a free upgrade at
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/search.asp

If ZapPop is turned on and you are still getting popups, then there are two other possibilies:

1) You have some software on your computer that was downloaded, without your knowledge, and installed without your knowledge. Don't feel badly, there are about 10 million installations on computers and most don't know. Our staff has had it happen to them!

To find this software, click "start", "run" and then "msconfig". Then click the "startup" tab. You will probably see a lot of programs that start when their computer starts. You should "uncheck" whatever looks strange. You should write down what is unchecked in case they need to check it again. For most people, they can uncheck most of what's checked without any loss of use of services.

If you find that the cause is one of these, then you can uninstall it by through your control panel - add/remove programs.

There are also software products in the marketplace which will search your hard drive for these "adware" and "spyware" programs that have been placed on your computer. One that we have used that is free can be obtained by going to http://www.snapfiles.com/get/adaware.html and,

2) on XP machines, you could get gray "messenger" pop-ups ads even when your browser is off.

To get these turned off, go to the Control Panel. Open "Administrative Tools". Then double click "Services". In the list of services that are displayed, double click "Messenger". A tabbed window will open. On the "General" tab, there is an option "Startup Type". Change it from "Automatic" to "Disabled" and click "OK" and then close all of the open windows.

What do I do if there are pop-ups I want to see?
If you want to have pop-ups appear, simply right click your mouse and select "Exit".
How do I turn the "zap" sound on and off?
The "sweet zap", each time ZapPop kills a pop-up, is easily turned on or off through the Preferences options of ZapPop.
Is there any limit to the number of pop-ups that ZapPop will kill?
No, as fast as those advertisers throw pop-ups at you, that's how fast ZapPop will "kill" them.
If ZapPop is not for me, can it be uninstalled?
ZapPop has an uninstall function to easily uninstall the application if that is your desire (but after having a pop-up free internet experience.we don't think you will).
How do I pay for my ZapPop license?
After you have used ZapPop for your free trial, you can purchase the registration key by going to DomainNameSanity.com's SSL secure payment page. Just

What are the system requirements? ZapPop.com runs on Windows systems and stops pop-ups when you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer.
Can I turn ZapPop off for certain sites? Yes, you can "exit" ZapPop at any time. This will be helpful whenever you want a web site to be able to open an additional browser window.
